I rode on, but they stayed with me

I was on a New York City subway recently, people-watching and listening as I so much enjoy doing. My attention was caught by a young woman and a child in a stroller.
The woman appeared to be non-verbal, communicating with the boy by signing and using facial expressions. The child was able to talk and sign. The attention between them was focused and constant.
I rode on beyond their stop, but they stayed with me.
What happens when my attention to others is so focused? What about the attention between myself and God?
The urging is frequent to listen; open eyes let one see who speaks.

Love this story. Where we place our attention is SO important. What we nourish and nurture can only strengthen and grow… including our relationship with God!
thank you for this beautiful reminder!
Blessings Sr. Janet!
PERHAPS THIS WOULD BE A NEW AND GREAT MINISTRY. GIVING OUT PRAYER CARDS ONLY IF THEY WOULD LIKE THEM.
OF COURSE I THINK THE OLD HABIT LIKE MOTHER MARY ROGERS DRESSED IN WOULD BE MORE ATTRACTIVE FOR PEOPLE TO NOTICE. PERHAPS A CANDY CANE AND A PRAYER CARD WITH A TALL YOUNG BASKETBALL TYPE OR A GROUP OF YOUNG PEOPLE WITH THE SISTER OR SISTERS. SUBWAY MINISTRY IS THE NEW WAY.
