Renewal of All Life

at the Copenhagen Conference

Blessing:

    Creator God,  

  we ask your blessing on each of us and upon all who have the power to change our destructive ways…as we deepen our commitment to preserve life for all humanity and for the entire Earth community.

• Give clarity of vision to each participant in the Copenhagen Conference.
• Enlighten and strengthen Conference negotiators charged with creating a wise and just treaty.
• With your grace may we reverse the downward spiral of planetary degradation.

Let not future generations say of us: “They knew but did not act.” We ask this in the name of Jesus who forever invites us to the fullness of life.

Pray for Earth at the Copenhagen Summit

To the Gardener of the world, be praise, 

Blessing, honor and glory, Alleluia. Greener of Earth, Tender of trees, of the field and the grass,

Keeper of forests, woodlands and wide-open plains, 

Loom of vitality, vesting our Earth in its blue breathing veil,

Weaver of webs, latticing snowflakes and roots, we pray: 

We join with Earth and with each other, with our ancestors and all beings of the future, to remember who we are.

We join together, as many and diverse expressions of one loving Mystery, for the healing of Earth and renewal of all life.
