Compassionate One, our hearts cry out for the people of Haiti: for the millions affected, for lost loved ones, lost homes, and lost livelihoods. Draw us together as your people to help in whatever ways we can.... The horror is almost unfathomable. Days after a major earthquake struck Haiti, an estimated three million people died or are walking the streets of Port-au-Prince injured, hungry or dying of thirst. This man watched his own daughter perish in the earthquake. Maryknoll isn’t waiting to respond.
Maryknoll Missioner Romane St. Vil is on the way to the earthquake zone right now, bringing your donations and a familiarity with the Haitian people and land.  Haiti’s quake victims need food, water and medical supplies to heal. Post a prayer of your own.

Join a small contingent of Maryknoll Sisters at a “Hope for Haiti’ concert to be held Sunday in Maryknoll’s backyard--at New York’s Mariandale Retreat & Conference Center in Ossining. Maryknoll Sister Janice McLaughlin, our congregational president, hailed the event as a way to help Haitians who are enduring unspeakable suffering. |
