Become a Sister

Since 1911, Catholics in the United States have responded to the worldwide struggles of the poor and deprived by becoming Maryknoll Missioners.  The tradition continues today as women are inspired to join the Maryknoll Sisters and help make God's love and compassionate justice visible throughout the world.

When you join the Maryknoll Sisters, you will be among women from many nations and diverse cultural  backgrounds.  Whether a Sister is a nurse,  doctor, teacher, social worker, catechist, theologian, agronomist, artist, environmentalist, justice and peace advocate, journalist or community development specialist, we all work together with local people to accomplish what needs to be done.

You, too, can live this life of service, translating the gospel of love into different languages and in different cultures.
