The photographs of Brother Martin Shea, a Maryknoll missioner to Guatemala, will be presented in an exhibit entitled, "Save the Kids, Save Their Stories." Br. Martin has served the children and families of Guatemala during the worst years of that country’s violent civil war, as refugees in Mexico and now as they re-establish their lives in Guatemala. The exhibit of more than 30 photographs will be accompanied by excerpts from Br. Martin's poetry, inspired by the people he serves. A recorded narration describing the photos and the struggles they convey will play continuously in the exhibit hall. The exhibit at Maryknoll's center in Ossining, NY, is open daily from 9 am to 7 pm. Admission is free and open to the public. |
